Appearance

It is hard and shiny.

Procedure

Step 1: Soak up stain with a white absorbent material.

Step 2: Apply non-acetone nail polish remover onto a white absorbent material then blot. Do not apply the solvent directly on to the carpet.

Step 3: Apply a small amount of dry-cleaning or alcohol solvent onto a white absorbent material and blot onto the gum. Do not apply the solvent directly on to the carpet.

Step 4: Spray the spot with 1 tablespoon of ammonia and ½ cup of water. Apply for less then a minute then blot.

Step 5: Apply 1/3 cup of white vinegar and 2/3 cup of water. Apply for less then a minute then blot with a white absorbent material.

Step 6: Spray lightly with cold water. Apply a pad of non-graphic white paper towels. Weight down the paper towels with a non-staining object.

Step 7: Vacuum to restore the texture once the carpet is dry.

Tip

When using nail polish remover, extreme caution must be used. Nail polish may dye and serious damage the carpet. Test in small unnoticeable carpet area before using.
