Appearance

It is built-up and possibly glossy.

Procedure

Step 1: Soak up stain with a white absorbent material or use a blunt spoon to remove the excess crayon then vacuum.

Step 2: Spray WD-40 on a white absorbent material then blot the spot. Repeat for 3 minutes.

Step 3: Apply a small amount of dry-cleaning or alcohol solvent onto a white absorbent material and blot onto the gum. Do not apply the solvents directly on to the carpet.

Step 4: Blot the spot with ¼ teaspoon of Dishwashing liquid and 1 cup of warm water. Allow the solution to remain for at least five minutes then blot with a white absorbent material.

Step 5: Spray lightly with warm water. Apply a pad of non-graphic white paper towels. Weight down the paper towels with a non-staining object.

Step 6: Vacuum to restore the texture once the carpet is dry.

If the stain remains, Request an Appointment with J.R.’s Carpet Cleaner.

Tip
